Almaty Akim Yerbolat Dossayev said at a reporting meeting in Almaly that a positive solution is being found to the problem of providing quality medical services to the residents of the district.
The major renovation of the building of polyclinic No. 3 will be completed in March 2025. As part of the renovation work, structural elements will be restored and interior rooms will be modernized.
The major renovation of the City Center for Human Reproduction continues. It is planned to complete the renovation work in the building at 124 Zhibek Zholy in March this year. The renovation of the building at 73 Torekulov Street will be completed in the 2nd quarter of 2025.
“Preserving the health of mothers and children will always remain a priority for the akimat. Maternity Hospital No. 1, built in 1937, is outdated and does not meet modern standards. The design of the new building is being completed, and the examination should begin in June 2025. In the summer of 2025, the old building will be demolished and a new building equipped with modern equipment will be built in its place. This work will be completed by the end of 2026,” the Almaty akim said.

In addition, it is planned to build a new clinic for 500 people in place of the old city rheumatology center building located at the intersection of Aiteke bi and Masanchi streets. The work will begin in June of this year and will be completed in May 2026.
It should be noted that, by order of the Almaty akim, the funds allocated for the modernization of healthcare infrastructure in 2024 increased by 26.3 billion tenge, that is, 2.5 times, and in 2025 it will increase by another 2.6 times, reaching 69.4 billion tenge.
