The city's municipal services are working in an enhanced mode around the clock. They remove tens of thousands of cubic meters of snow from the city every day, the official website of the Astana akimat reports.
On February 10, 2,627 road workers and about 1,300 special equipment were deployed for snow removal during the day shift.
On the night of February 10, 26 thousand cubic meters of snow were removed from the capital to snow dumps in 1,951 flights.
Since the beginning of the winter season, more than 5.4 million cubic meters of snow have been removed from the city in 448,192 heavy truck flights.
First of all, according to the rules, places with the highest traffic intensity are cleared to avoid traffic jams on the roads. Also, areas with medium intensity - squares, areas near train stations, sidewalks, entrances to social facilities, etc. will be cleaned.
Cleaning of central streets, places where passenger transport routes pass, stops and sidewalks is also a priority.
There are several equipped snow polygons in the city. They are equipped with a system for reading license plates of dump trucks, video surveillance cameras are installed here, and lighting is turned on.
We ask residents and guests of the capital to be careful on the roads, follow safety rules, and not go on long trips if there is a storm warning.
