The issue of developing the creative industry in the region was considered at a meeting of the regional administration chaired by Askhat Shakharov.
The regional head noted the importance of creating favorable conditions for young people to develop their own creative path. He noted the need to develop modern areas where they can earn money by creating new products and providing services in design, fashion, music, architecture and other areas. Askhat Shakharov also noted the importance of supporting creative people through state investments in education, culture and startups.
According to Altynai Yunisova, head of the Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation, the region is actively developing the creative industry. In 2023, a creative center was opened on the basis of the S. Zhienbayev Library, which has a community space, IT cabinets, recording studios and a photo zone. This will allow young people to develop their talents for free and implement projects. At the request of young people, the Makerspace center was created in the S.Baishev Regional Universal Scientific Library, where teenagers can master robotics and technology.
In addition, the head of the department noted that it is currently impossible to monetize creative services in accordance with the legislation, which limits the opportunities for further development of this area. This issue was considered in the Atameken Regional Economic and Technological Enterprise with the participation of regional entrepreneurs, and work is currently underway to find possible ways to solve this problem.
"It is necessary to create platforms for introducing creative ideas in each district. Projects should yield results, and it is important for young people to present them independently. Successful Aktobe singers, bloggers, artists, and journalists can be involved in developing projects and sharing their ideas. Creative industry projects are in demand and should be aimed at the development of the region," the akim added.
It should be noted that, on the instructions of the regional head, it is planned to build a creative center for youth in Aktobe, aimed at developing and supporting the creative potential of local residents. The center is expected to feature a variety of spaces for creative projects, including content creation studios, creative offices, and brainstorming areas. The project also includes plans to build a regional planetarium in another wing of the building. The issue of financing the project through private funds from sponsors is currently being resolved.
