As a result of voluntary resettlement in 2024, 8,950 people, including 3,000 natives and 5,950 migrants, moved from regions with a surplus of labor to regions with a shortage of labor to increase labor mobility. All migrants were provided with state support measures.
In terms of resettlement regions, 3,422 people moved to Pavlodar region, 2,547 to North Kazakhstan region, 1,020 to Kostanay region, 781 to East Kazakhstan region, 537 to Akmola region, 530 to Abai region, 70 to Ulytau region, and 43 to Karaganda region.
Our compatriots who moved to the resettlement regions came mainly from Mongolia - 1,072, Uzbekistan - 908, China - 762, Russia - 164, and other countries - 94.
Of the 4,279 people of working age (migrants and compatriots), 2,721 were placed in permanent jobs, 207 are engaged in entrepreneurial activities, and 1,000 are working to open a business. 25 people received grants.
Relocators and relatives found jobs in healthcare, agriculture, education, industry, etc. sectors.

“After being included in the regional resettlement quota in 2023, they moved from Mangistau region to the city of Taiynsha, North Kazakhstan region. Each family member was provided with state support in the form of material assistance in the amount of 1,690,500 tenge for resettlement, and we also purchased housing under an economic mobility certificate. "We are very happy that we decided to move and that there is such a program from the state that helps immigrants find work and provides initial material assistance," said the head of the family, Zhanbolat Suleimenov.
Zhanbolat graduated from Vocational Lyceum No. 1 of Aktau with a degree in "Technical Operator for Computer Service", and his wife Zhadyr has a higher education in "Pedagogy and Psychology".
The career center of the Taiyinsha district helped him find a job. Zhanbolat works at Kokshe Tekhstroy LLP. The spouse got a job as a teacher at the "Karlygash" kindergarten.
As a reminder, the following measures of state support for migrants are provided within the framework of voluntary relocation:
- a one-time relocation subsidy in the amount of 70 MCI for the head of the family and each family member;
- a monthly subsidy for housing rental and payment of utility bills for 12 months in the amount of 15 to 30 MCI, depending on the number of family members and the locality;
- a referral to short-term vocational training;
- assistance in finding a job or developing an entrepreneurial initiative;
- issuance of economic mobility certificates.
In addition, employers providing assistance with interregional relocation are provided with a one-time employment subsidy in the amount of 400 MCI for each employee provided with housing and hired for a permanent job for a period of at least 2 years.
