Karaganda resident Vladislav Kireev became the biathlon champion at the Asian Games in Harbin, China.
The athlete is coached by Rais Khairutdinov.
The men's biathlon team of Kazakhstan won two medals in the 10 km sprint race. The silver medal went to Vadim Kurales, who competed as a main member of the national team for the first time this season.
Gu Can from China won third place.
Kazakhstan's Asset Duysenov and Alexander Mukhin took sixth and seventh places.
