In the coming years, hockey courts, basketball and volleyball courts, a swimming pool and a hippodrome will be opened in the Bukhar Zhyrau district. This was announced by the district akim Yerlan Kusaiyn during a meeting with the head of the physical culture and sports department Serik Sapiyev and local athletes at the physical culture and health complex in the village of G. Mustafin.
A similar complex was also opened in Karakuduk last year, and multifunctional hockey courts were installed in the villages of Umitker and Ushtobe. Mini-football fields appeared in Tortkol and Kushoky, and a gym was renovated in the village of Tsentralny.
For four years, 31 projects aimed at developing sports infrastructure have been implemented in the district. Multifunctional hockey courts will be installed in six settlements, basketball and volleyball courts in five, and mini-football fields in four. A 25-meter swimming pool and a 250-seat hippodrome will be built in the district center.
As noted by Yerlan Kusai, the lack of indoor sports facilities remains a problematic issue.
- To solve this problem, the construction of sports complexes is planned in the villages of Baimyrza and Doskey. In 2026, the construction of a 100-seat physical education and health complex in Kushoky will continue under the “Aul – El besigi” program. It is also planned to reconstruct the central stadium in Botakara, - the district akim reported.
Residents with special needs will not be left without attention. This year, 30 people will be able to engage in bocce and athletics within the framework of the state social order.
In settlements that currently lack sports infrastructure, yard clubs organized on the basis of the “Arlan” district sports club will be an alternative to regular sports. New clubs will be opened in the villages of Karakuduk, Doskei, Kushoky, Tsentralny, Samarkan, Petrovka, Kokpekty, Kyzylzhar and Baimyrza.
During the meeting, Serik Sapiyev noted the pace of development of sports infrastructure and presented a letter of gratitude to the district akim Yerlan Kusayin.
Multiple winners of regional and republican hand-to-hand combat competitions - the world champion among youth in army hand-to-hand combat, Zhasulan Nurbolat from the village of Kyzylkayin and Ualikhan Makulbayev from the village of Ushtobe;
multiple winner of regional and republican competitions in judo and sambo, silver medalist of the 2024 World Youth Championship in combat sambo Tanirbergen Tergeubekov; Ernat Bolyskhan from Sheshenkara village, a multiple winner of regional, republican and international competitions in Kazakh wrestling, a bronze medalist of the 2024 Asian Championship, received engraved medals and certificates worth 500 thousand tenge.
In addition, the Arlan sports club was awarded a certificate worth one million tenge.
