The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) are pleased to announce the participation of the ICAO 2025 Conference, which will be held in Abu Dhabi (UAE) on February 10-12, 2025. Within the framework of the Global Implementation Support Symposium (GISS-2025), a relevant document was signed on the development of a strategic Master Plan for the development of the civil aviation industry of Kazakhstan until 2050. The Master Plan for the Development of the Civil Aviation Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan will allow developing a comprehensive strategy and algorithm for further planning the civil aviation industry of Kazakhstan, which will include the development of airports, air navigation, airlines, increasing the level of flight safety and aviation security, accessibility and liberalization of air transport, etc. It should be noted that ICAO has the most qualified experts and is a recognized leader in developing development strategies for ICAO member states. It is worth noting that Kazakhstan, in accordance with its national objectives to develop transit and transport potential in Central Asia and the CIS and transform Kazakhstan into a major connecting regional aviation hub, has a vision of sustainable development, modernization and effective use of the aviation sector of Kazakhstan and was the first country to establish strategic cooperation with ICAO. On behalf of the Kazakh side, the agreement was signed by Talgat Lastayev, Vice Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and on behalf of ICAO, Juan Carlos Salazar, Secretary General of the Organization. The signing ceremony was also attended by the President of the ICAO Council, Mr. Salvatore Sciaccatano, and the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to ICAO, Mr. Timur Tilegenov.
