Measures to ensure fire safety during the heating season are underway in the Esil district of the capital. Representatives of state bodies have once again visited houses in the suburbs to remind residents of safety measures and check heating appliances, the city akimat's official website reports.
The akimat of the Yesil district, together with the Emergency Situations Department and police officers, conducted another raid on the private sector.
Representatives of state bodies visited about 50 houses in the Prigorodny residential area, checked stove equipment and electrical wiring, and also gave explanations on fire prevention.
Sanzhar Zhaksygeldy, an engineer of the Yesil district Emergency Situations Department, noted that fire prevention work is being carried out regularly in houses in the suburbs.
As a result of the inspection, defects in the heating system, electrical networks and equipment of residential buildings are being identified.
"Such defects cause fires and pose a threat to human life. With the support of the akimat, we are conducting explanatory work on the need to comply with fire safety requirements during the heating season. "We visit about 50 houses every day," said Sanzhar Zhaksygeldy.
Specialists check the condition of heating systems in houses.
"The main attention is paid to heating stoves and electrical equipment, as they often cause fires. With the onset of winter and on frosty days, malfunctions of heating stoves can lead to tragic situations. During the campaign, booklets in the form of memos on fire safety measures will be distributed," added Sanzhar Zhaksygeldy.
The rescuers also reminded of precautions. Thus, it is necessary to ensure fire safety when using stoves, not to overload electrical networks, monitor the serviceability of electrical wiring, not to use non-standard home-made electric heating devices, not to dry flammable materials and bedding on a burning stove, and not to leave children at home without adult supervision.
