Astana is hosting the first large-scale "City of Working Professions" festival as part of the Year of Working Professions. On the first day of the festival, representatives of more than 200 working professions took part in it, and about 10 thousand people watched it.
Visitors to the festival got acquainted with new technologies and curricula in the field of technical education, received information about new and popular specialties offered by domestic colleges, and also met with potential employers. High school students were especially interested and actively visited the exhibition, discussing career prospects in working professions.
The festival became a manifestation of cooperation between the vocational education system and business. Industrial exhibitions covered 15 areas of strategic importance for the economy: mechanical engineering, information technologies, construction, agro-industrial complex, energy, transport and other sectors that determine the future of the country's economy.
Each exhibition here was presented by leading enterprises and vocational education organizations in new technologies, equipment and educational programs adapted to market requirements.
