Lecturing on charity and volunteering started in Astana universities

The Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan has launched a series of open lectures aimed at the formation and development of the values ​​of charity, kindness, compassion and humanism among students.
As part of this initiative, heads of charitable and volunteer organizations will give lectures at universities in the country. They will share their experiences and talk about the importance of volunteer work.
The lecture will begin in Astana and will cover all regions of the country until the end of the academic year.
It should be noted that 755 volunteer organizations, 2 thousand initiative groups and 275 thousand active volunteers operate in Kazakhstan. Among them, there are 3.5 thousand “silver” volunteers, that is, volunteers over 55 years old.
Last year alone, 7,000 good deeds were carried out within the framework of the “Marathon of Good Deeds” project, in which about 50 thousand people participated.
