In the first month of this year, employees of the city police department identified 47 drug-related offenses. Of these, 10 were cases of selling synthetic drugs. According to the first deputy head of the department, Arman Beisenbayev, more than 35 kilograms of various narcotic substances were seized from illegal circulation, including more than 1 kilogram of synthetic drugs.
Beisenbayev recalled that the Minister of Internal Affairs declared 2025 the Year of Prevention. In this regard, measures to prevent violations, including drug crimes, have been strengthened.
During the raids, police officers identified 18 drivers who were driving under the influence of drugs, who were held accountable in accordance with the law.
Preventive work was organized to eliminate drug advertisements in the form of graffiti on the walls of buildings in the city, as a result of which about 500 posts advertising drug sites were removed.
Employees of the Drug Crime Countermeasures Department blocked 74 drug sites.
The police remind that the law provides for strict punishment for the crime of storing and selling drugs.
