Snow removal work is underway in the capital around the clock. Public utilities are working in an enhanced shift mode, the official website of the Astana akimat reports.
On February 12, 2,668 road workers and 1,280 units of special equipment were deployed for snow removal during the day shift.
On the night of February 12, about 26 thousand cubic meters of snow were removed from the capital to snow dumps in 1,819 flights.
Since the beginning of the winter season, about 5.6 million cubic meters of snow have been removed from the city in 456,466 heavy-duty flights.
First of all, in accordance with the rules, places with very high traffic are cleared to avoid traffic jams on the roads. Also, areas with medium traffic - squares, areas near train stations, sidewalks, entrances to social facilities, etc. are cleared.
Cleaning of central streets, places where passenger transport routes pass, stops and sidewalks is also a priority.
There are several equipped snow dumps in the city. They are equipped with a system for reading license plates for dump trucks, video surveillance cameras are installed here, and lighting is turned on.
We ask residents and guests of the capital to be careful on the roads, follow safety rules, and not to travel long distances if there is a storm warning.
In the event of an emergency, please call "112".
