A regional plan for the "Year of Working Professions" has been approved in the Turkestan region. Large-scale measures will be implemented in this direction. At a meeting chaired by the Governor of the Turkestan region, Nuralkhan Kusherov, the work underway to implement the President's instructions was discussed. At that meeting, the regional governor gave specific instructions to all responsible leaders.
He ordered that the specialties taught by the state in colleges and specialized education centers in the region be aligned with the necessary working professions, and that investors be required to hire local specialists first.
In his Address, the President of Kazakhstan declared 2025 the Year of Working Professions. This decision was made in order to increase the prestige of working professions, make them popular among young people, and develop the vocational education system.
- Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that "A hardworking person, a professional specialist should be the most respected person in our country. Such citizens develop our state," and today a working person should be an example for many. We need to raise the status of working professions and promote their importance in society. I instruct responsible leaders to align the professions being taught by state order in colleges and specialized education centers with the necessary working professions. Identify the necessary professions for private investment projects being implemented in our region and submit proposals for training professionals in colleges. Working professions should be actively developed. Investors should first of all set requirements for attracting local specialists to work. Improving the social protection of working professionals, wages and working conditions will increase their motivation to work. In this regard, I instruct to implement measures to increase wages and ensure labor safety, - said Nuralkhan Kusherov.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the number of able-bodied people in the region exceeds 800 thousand. Of these, more than 200 thousand work in working professions. As reported at the Majilis, today the need for about 3,600 working professions has been identified by employers in the region. The process of forming a state order allocated to colleges is regulated according to this need. That is, the necessary specialists are trained according to the demand of the labor market.
The "Regional Employment Map" has been approved for 2025, and it is planned to open 130,769 jobs. 57% of them will be working specialties. More than 4 thousand jobs will be created within the framework of 375 projects implemented within the framework of "National Projects". Priority will also be given to working specialties in the "Labor" direction, which will open 57,221 jobs and 32,448 subsidized jobs.
According to the instructions of the regional akim, it is planned to open more than 2 thousand jobs in the region based on 125 investment projects. Half of them are working specialists. In accordance with the demand, it is planned to conduct short-term vocational training for citizens sent to new jobs. That is, if a private investor conducts professional training on its own base, the costs of training will be reimbursed by the state, and then the private investor will be provided with permanent employment. In addition, 1,400 jobs have been offered to foreign investors developing the cotton production sector.
According to the approved schedule, job fairs are being organized in all districts and cities of the Turkestan region. More than 1,500 vacancies are being offered there.
