Work continues in the Turkestan region to open production facilities, attract investment, develop and expand industrial zones. There are 14 industrial zones of regional significance in the region, covering an area of ​​1,700 hectares, 5 of which have been created in the past year. In addition, 2 separate industrial zones have been created at the proposals of the companies "Mega-Agat" in the city of Arys and "Bokei" in the Ordabasy district, bringing the number of operating and newly created industrial zones to 16. To date, 82 projects worth 120 billion tenge are being implemented in these industrial zones.
Akim of the Turkestan region Nuralkhan Kusherov held a meeting to discuss current issues related to the revitalization of industrial zones and the implementation of new projects. He gave relevant instructions to the responsible leaders.
- Carry out work to provide newly created and newly opened industrial zones in the region with the necessary land and infrastructure. It is important to attract new investors to existing industrial zones and increase the number of projects. District and city akims, heads of responsible departments should intensify work in this direction. A new approach, research, and study are needed. It is necessary to terminate agreements with entrepreneurs who have taken land and have not started work, and return the land. The issue of landscaping, landscaping, and putting industrial zones in order should also be considered, - said Nuralkhan Kusherov.
The head of the Turkestan region's entrepreneurship and industry department, Nurzhigit Myrzakhmetov, reported on the work done and indicators in this area. He spoke about the issues of providing newly opened and planned industrial zones with gas, electricity, water and other infrastructure, and acquiring land plots. On the instructions of the regional akim, district and city akimats submitted proposals for newly created industrial zones. The land plots are located close to infrastructure points.
It should be noted that the majority of projects in industrial zones in the Turkestan region are focused on the production of building materials, the production of finished metal products, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, light and furniture industries. In 2024, 18 investment projects were approved by the Regional Coordination Council and included in industrial zones.
