SPRING FIELD WORKS BEGUN IN TURKESTAN REGION

This year, the volume of agricultural crops sown in the Turkestan region will be increased by 26 thousand hectares compared to last year, and will be sown on 896 thousand hectares. Of these, spring crops will be sown on 518 thousand hectares, winter crops on 204 thousand hectares, and old alfalfa will be sown on 174 thousand hectares. This was announced at a meeting of the staff of the Turkestan region chaired by the akim of the Turkestan region, Nuralkhan Kusherov.
The head of the region instructed the akims of the districts and cities to systematically organize spring field work and conduct regular explanatory work on state support provided to farmers.
- I instruct to ensure the full implementation of the approved plan for spring field work. In some districts, plowing and weeding are being carried out at a low level. I instruct to complete it on time. Please monitor the regular release of diesel fuel through regional operators, the introduction of the necessary mineral fertilizers, and the provision of high-reproduction seeds. The introduction of water-saving technologies in arable lands should be intensified, - said Nuralkhan Kusherov, listening to the arguments of the akims of the districts and cities in this regard.
At the meeting, the deputy akim of the region, Nurbol Turashbekov, reported on the progress of preparations for spring field work. According to him, today, more than 50 percent of the plowing work has been completed, and more than 30 percent of the weeding work has been completed. 55.3 thousand tons of subsidized fuel and lubricants have been allocated for spring field work, and work has begun on their release. 25 thousand units of equipment are being used for field work. This year, it is planned to update the agricultural machinery fleet by 6.5%. According to the roadmap of the Ministry of Agriculture, 190 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers will be introduced by the end of the year. Applications for the program have begun.
Production producers have sufficient seed stocks of spring crops. Specifically, there are 4.3 thousand tons of wheat, 6.7 thousand tons of barley, 1.8 thousand tons of safflower, 3.6 thousand tons of cotton, and 0.9 thousand tons of alfalfa seeds required for sowing. Corn and potato seeds are purchased from commercial organizations. In order to improve the quality of cotton, 3.3 thousand tons of high-reproduction cotton skeins will be imported from Turkey, Uzbekistan, and China.
The weekly meeting discussed the timely implementation of the instructions of the Head of State, the progress of the implementation of the "Cozy School" project, and the state of the heating season. The work to be carried out within the framework of national projects was reviewed, and relevant instructions were given to responsible leaders.
