The weekly meeting of the apparatus chaired by the akim of the Turkestan region, Nuralkhan Kusherov, discussed ways and topical issues of developing the culture and sports sectors. The head of the region instructed the heads of the mentioned departments and district and city akims to systematize and intensify the work.
- Culture and sports are sectors that raise the morale of the country, change consciousness, and influence society. It is necessary to revitalize the work of cultural institutions and instill Kazakh art, culture, and traditions in the youth. I instruct to re-approve the 3-year comprehensive plan in accordance with the established criteria for determining the priority needs of cultural and sports facilities in the region. Educational, cultural, healthcare, and other social facilities in the region need standard design and estimate documentation. It is necessary to supplement the concert programs held in the region with creative ideas that will raise the image of the region, and organize the upcoming Nauryz holiday in Turkestan, the district, and cities at a high level. To solve the problem of buildings of sports institutions in the region, please make specific proposals and systematize the work, - said Nuralkhan Kusherov, criticizing the heads of the mentioned sectors and setting specific tasks.
The meeting heard the report of the head of the Turkestan regional department of culture Azimkhan Koylybayev and the acting head of the department of physical culture and sports Almasbek Nakypbekov.
A 3-year plan for the construction of cultural facilities in the district and cities was recently approved. According to the plan, it is expected that 30 cultural facilities will be built between 2025-2027. Cultural facilities are being monitored and appropriate recommendations have been made. 15 new performances will be staged in 3 professional theaters in the region this year. The formats of competitions and festivals traditionally organized annually in the region are being planned in a new direction. The Republican "Voice of Turkestan" competition, the international "Voice of Turan" festival, the Republican "Kui Kudireti" competition of kuishers, the Republican "Turkestan Maqamdary" competition of turmes, the "Turkistar" children's creative festival and other important cultural and spiritual events will be held.
On the instructions of the regional akim, monitoring of the need for sports facilities was carried out in the region. As a result, it was determined that it is necessary to build 108 sports complexes and carry out repairs on 48 buildings. Today, 3,540 sports facilities are registered in the region. Of these, 2,577 are in educational institutions, and 543 facilities are on the akimat's balance. 270 facilities are privately owned, and 150 facilities are owned by sports institutions. 100 sports organizations subordinate to the department and city and district akimats operate. Funds are also allocated annually in stages for sports facilities that need repairs. More precisely, this year, 14 buildings will be renovated. In order to reduce the need for sports facilities, it is planned to complete the construction of 51 sports facilities by 2025.
