Students and volunteers from the capital joined the "Clean Kazakhstan" environmental campaign and hung bird nests in one of the city's parks, the official website of the Astana akimat reports.
As part of the "Clean Kazakhstan" campaign, students from the capital's Construction and Technical College, together with volunteers from the "Astana Zhastary" youth resource center, hung bird nests in a park near the al-Farabi mosque.
They made the nests themselves.
"The bird nests were made of plywood. Together with my classmates, we made them in three days under the supervision of our master teacher. I am happy that I contributed to environmental protection using my professional skills," says Allabergen Maratuly, a 3rd-year student at the Astana Construction and Technical College.
The campaign is aimed at preserving biodiversity and improving the ecological situation of the city. The participants are confident that the nests will contribute to the comfortable and safe life of birds.
“Protecting nature begins with a small action, and each such step will help improve the ecological situation. If you also want to make your contribution, take part in our campaigns,” said Erasyl Tolendy, a volunteer of the Astana Youth Youth Center, to the city residents.
