Events under the "Clean Kazakhstan" program continue in Mangystau

The Mangystau region continues to actively hold eco-campaigns within the framework of the "Clean Kazakhstan" program.
On February 12, a meeting with the participation of students was held at the Caspian University of Technologies and Engineering named after Sh. Yesenov, organized by the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of the Mangystau region.
The meeting was attended by well-known ecologists in the region K. Osin, A. Kozybakov, more than 120 students of the university, village akims and heads of housing and communal services departments of the city and districts. During the event, the main environmental challenges in the region, ways to solve them, and the importance of personal contribution to nature protection were discussed.
The main goal of the meeting was to draw young people's attention to environmental protection issues, develop environmental culture, educate them to be responsible for preserving the natural wealth of the region, inform them about the current state of ecology, and involve them in practical activities to protect the environment.
According to Adilbek Kozybakov, the Chairman of the "Mangystau Nature" Public Association, the "Clean Kazakhstan" program plays a major role in developing environmental culture among the population:
- Today, we see that the participation of young people in environmental events is not just about cleaning up territories, but also about making a conscious contribution to the future of our nature. Each of us can be part of such a great cause as environmental protection. We invite you all to participate in any environmental events in the city. Your activity is an important step towards creating a clean and environmentally safe Kazakhstan.
In addition, after the meeting, students took a tour of the waste processing workshop at the university and got acquainted with its work. Regarding the excursion, the head of “Package Factory” LLP Mamed Afandiev:
– Youth is the future of our country, and it is they who are responsible for solving environmental problems. Such meetings not only increase environmental literacy, but also contribute to the upbringing of personal responsibility for environmental protection. We hope that this event will be an initiative that will encourage many young people to actively participate in environmental initiatives in the region. With our joint efforts, we can further turn Mangystau into a clean and environmentally safe region, - he expressed his opinion.
Also, after the excursion, the students went to the greenhouse on the territory of the university and planted the seeds of the Japanese sophora tree.
Japanese sophora ( Sophora japonica L.) is a valuable medicinal plant, the fruits of which have anti-inflammatory and wound-healing effects. In nature, a tree that can reach a height of up to 25 meters. Currently, it has been successfully tested in Mangystau and is being used for large-scale landscaping.
The students also shared their impressions of the meeting. One of the participants of the event said:
- It was very useful for us to learn what we can do to improve the ecology in the region. Such meetings and actions inspire us to take action and protect the nature around us, - he said.
The events within the campaign were held in a warm and productive atmosphere, strengthening the desire of young people for environmental responsibility.
