A visitor center will open in the Tuyik Su Gorge in Almaty

A subsidiary of the Almaty SEC JSC, Almaty Finance LLP, has allocated 380 million tenge to Askar Development LLP for the construction of a modern tourist center in the Tuyik Su Gorge.
The project is financed under the regional program for the development of entrepreneurship "Almaty Business-2025" within the framework of supporting tourism as one of the priority areas. The interest rate on the loan is 6% per annum (GMT), the financing term is 5 years.
The visitor center will be equipped with a hotel, cafe, pharmacy, a shop for the purchase and rental of equipment, a souvenir shop and an area for holding creative events. The center also provides services for transporting tourists to and from Medeu by electric vehicle, rental of ATVs and bicycles, group excursions in the neighborhood, individual excursions, thematic lectures and master classes.
The main goal of the project is to create conditions for the development of local ecotourism, provide the population with comfortable recreational recreation, and increase the tourist attractiveness of Almaty.
As part of the concessional financing, Askar Development LLP will undertake a number of social obligations. The company will ensure cleanliness in the territory of the complex, introduce a waste management system, install interactive information panels describing routes, place shields with contacts of rescue services and tourist support centers, and create an emergency contact zone.
When constructing and equipping the center, the borrower will use environmentally friendly materials, organize a registration system for tourists with the function of tracking the routes of their routes, provide free public toilets, and plan regular lectures and instructions on safe behavior on mountain routes. The possibility of placing two premises for rescue workers with a capacity of up to 8 people on the territory of the complex is being considered.
“In addition to increasing the tourist attractiveness of Almaty, the project will create 22 new permanent jobs, as well as increase revenues to the local budget. The company's annual tax payments are expected to amount to 170 million tenge,” noted Zhuldyz Igenov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Almaty Finance LLP.
