A ceremony of handing over the keys to 40 apartments to representatives of socially vulnerable groups was held in Shchuchinsk, the press service of the Akim of the Akmola region reports.
The 8-apartment residential building located at 13 Tsialkovsky Street was built in 1924. The owners of the dilapidated building applied to the Burabay district akimat in September 2022 and stated that the housing was in a state of emergency.
After an examination, in 2023 the building was recognized as a state of emergency and a decision was made to demolish it
Local executive bodies decided to include the state of emergency building in the renovation program. Former residents vacated their homes to the construction company "Tasu Company" LLP. Thus, the project was implemented solely at the expense of private investments, without attracting budget funds. The contractor company built a modern 6-story residential complex with 48 apartments in place of the old building.
It should be noted that this house is the first residential building built in the Akmola region as part of the renovation program being implemented by order of the Head of State. The construction of a new house will not only improve the living conditions of citizens, but also change the appearance of the city and allow it to be renovated without the need to build additional engineering infrastructure.
The old apartments were replaced with new, spacious and comfortable housing. All former residents received modern apartments with high ceilings and bright corridors from the new residential complex. Also, an elevator was installed in the house, which significantly improves the quality of life of residents. The complex is equipped with all the necessary conditions and provides full opportunities for a comfortable life.
The remaining 40 apartments were purchased by the akimat of the Burabay district, providing housing for dozens of citizens from socially vulnerable groups.
During the handover of the keys to the new residents, the akim of the Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov noted the importance of such programs in improving the quality of life of the population. He said that renovation is an important step towards not only solving the problem of dilapidated houses, but also creating comfortable and modern conditions for the population.
"The head of state pays special attention, first of all, to the implementation of social projects aimed at improving the quality of life of Kazakhstanis. One of them is the issue of providing housing. Last year, 28 houses were built at the expense of budget funds and 850 apartments were purchased. As a result, the housing situation of about 2.5 thousand families improved. 1.5 thousand of them are families from socially vulnerable groups. In general, more than 6 thousand Akmola residents in the region received new, comfortable housing. The purchase of ready-made apartments made it possible to reduce the housing queue. In addition, these houses are of much higher quality than those built at the expense of the budget. This measure will improve the housing conditions of large families, orphans, citizens with disabilities and other socially vulnerable categories of people,” said M. Akhmetzhanov.
Elina Schmidt, a mother of many children who received an apartment in a new house, shared her joy:
“I did not believe it when the housing and communal services employees called and said that we would be given an apartment. At first, I thought they were scammers and contacted the akimat. They confirmed that their employee had contacted me and said that I could submit the documents. At that moment I burst into tears. We waited 14 years, we thought that we would never be able to buy a house again. When we saw the apartment, we cried again - because this is our home! It is very beautiful, I did not expect such a good repair. We are very grateful to our state for such a program. We are very happy!” – said E. Schmidt.
The implementation of the renovation program in the Borovoye district is an important step towards improving the housing conditions in the region. In addition, it is a harmonious example of modern construction and care for the needs of the population.
This program also covers other cities in the region. In particular, in the city of Kokshetau, new housing construction has begun within the framework of this initiative.
