Ust-Kamenogorsk residents welcomed freestylers Anastasia Gorodko, Ayaulym Amrenova, Anton Bondarev and Pavel Kolmakov.
East Kazakhstan athletes defended the honor of the country at the World Championships, Winter Universiade and World Cup, performing brilliantly.
Anastasia Gorodko became a two-time champion of the Winter Universiade. She also replenished the country's basket with one gold and one silver medal at the World Championships.
- I am pleased with my results. Of course, there were difficulties. Without them, there would be no competition. It is impossible to be ready for everything, but I did everything I could, - said Anastasia Gorodko.
Ayaulym Amrenova and Anton Bondarev achieved high results, winning silver medals at the Universiade.
- In East Kazakhstan, there is an opportunity to engage in all types of winter sports. We are proud of our athletes. I believe that they will achieve many milestones in the future, - says Serik Kusymbayev, Deputy Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the East Kazakhstan Region.
