Today, a Government meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov. The agenda included issues of preparation for spring sowing and digitalization of the agro-industrial complex. The regional governor Nurlybek Nalibayev participated in the meeting via selector mode.
This year, 190 thousand hectares of agricultural crops will be sown in the region. According to the Government's Roadmap, rice cultivation is set at 80,900 hectares. An additional 5 thousand hectares of rice are planned to be irrigated with mullein water and water saved through laser leveling of the land. Agricultural structures are 100 percent provided with seeds. Of the required 64,600 tons of fertilizer, 11,300 tons are domestically produced.
82.2 percent of the 4,046 pieces of equipment on farms have been repaired. The rest will be 100% ready by March 1. The Ministry of Energy has approved 10 thousand tons of diesel fuel. Today, supplier operators have been identified and payments for diesel fuel allocated for February are being made. The planned sowing volume will be re-specified after the meeting of the Interstate Water Management Coordination Commission.
A number of measures are being taken to digitize the agro-industrial complex and introduce advanced technologies into the industry. Subsidy processes in the field of crops and livestock are being carried out online through the GosAgro portal. Sale and lease of land plots are carried out electronically through a web portal.
Joint projects with foreign companies are being implemented to digitize the industry and implement new projects. The Er-Ali farm installed automated water metering equipment from the Australian company Rubicon Water to digitize irrigation of rice fields and reduce water consumption. This allowed saving up to 20 percent of the volume of irrigation water and increasing productivity.
Together with the mentioned company, the project "Digitalization of water distribution and metering for the Left Bank Main Canal", which provides water to 60 percent of the arable land in the region, was launched. Currently, project and estimate documents are being developed and are undergoing examination. In the direction of digitizing agriculture, the full partnership "Abzal and K" will launch a digital rice processing plant worth 1 billion tenge with a capacity of 12 tons per hour this year.
