A roundtable on digital journalism in Central Asia and China will be held in Almaty

On February 26, 2025, a round table entitled “Digital Journalism in Central Asia and China: Local Challenges and Global Trends” will be held in Almaty.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Narxoz University, the UN Department of Global Communications Representative Office in the Republic of Kazakhstan - UN Information Office in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Central Asia-China Journalism Research Association.
Leading experts, researchers, and journalists will discuss the impact of artificial intelligence and digital technologies on the development of the media space in Central Asia and China.
The round table is organized within the framework of the Plan of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2025 to improve the media literacy of the population and improve the skills of Mediasphere specialists.
The following issues will be discussed during the round table:
- Discussion on the future of journalism in the context of digital transformation and artificial intelligence;
- Use of big data and automated analysis in the media application;
- International experience and development prospects of media in the digital age.
Journalists, teachers, students, media researchers, media representatives and those interested in the future of journalism and communication are invited to the event.
