K ENERGY MINISTER ALMASADAM SATKALIEV'S WORKING VISIT TO TURKESTAN REGION BEGINS

The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Almasadam Satkaliyev arrived in the Turkestan region on a working visit. The goal is to fulfill the instructions of the Head of State at the expanded session of the Government held on January 28, to develop the infrastructure of the region and increase its energy potential.
At the meeting held at the regional akimat, Almasadam Satkaliyev discussed ways to solve problems related to the energy sector in the region and discussed important projects.
The Governor of the Turkestan region Nuralkhan Kusherov made proposals on eliminating the energy deficit in the region and the construction of new power generation stations. In particular, the reconstruction of the heating networks of the cities of Turkestan and Kentau, the construction of 110 kV power lines between the "Yassy" and "Ortalyk" substations in the city of Turkestan, the continuation of work on providing gas to the region's residents, and other issues were discussed. The first deputy akim of the region, Zulpykhar Zholdasov, reported on the work carried out in the infrastructure, gas, and electricity sectors.
It should be noted that last year the Kentau Heat Station was modernized and its boiler rooms were renewed. The heating issue has been resolved. In order to meet the region's electricity needs, it is planned to build a 1000 MW steam-gas station in Sairam, 320 MW in Tulkibas, and 240 MW gas turbine stations in Kentau, as well as 785 MW solar power stations in Sauran and Sairam districts, and 350 MW wind power stations in Baidibek district. 24 renewable energy sources with a capacity of 278.6 MW are operating in the region. In 2024, the "Kyzylasker" substation in Keles district and 110 "Soltustik" substations in Turkestan city were built and put into operation along with power lines. In 2024, 53 settlements (81 thousand people) were gasified. As a result, the number of settlements supplied with gas has been increased to 563. Work on upgrading electricity networks and providing settlements with high-quality electricity will continue in the region.
