Abai region is also paying attention to rural medicine. Hospitals in district centers are being equipped with modern medical equipment. For example, today Zharma district hospital launched computed tomography. The event was attended by district akim Nurlan Borsykbayev, deputy head of the regional health department Zhasulan Sabitov, hospital staff and veteran doctors.
"Our district has acquired a computed tomography device for the first time. Previously, we used to send patients to the city. Now we can diagnose the disease ourselves. We have the necessary doctors. We are specially training local specialists in Astana to master the intricacies of the device," said the head physician of the district hospital, Erik Isabekov.
Computed tomography provides high accuracy and detail of images of internal organs and tissues. This allows doctors to more accurately diagnose and monitor various diseases.
Today, in addition to the central hospital, 3 rural outpatient clinics, 5 medical and obstetric centers, and 10 medical centers serve the population in Zharma district.
As you may recall, at the end of last year, a similar computed tomography device was installed in Makanchy district. Now, it is planned to install it in Aksuat district.
