Last year, 20 km of water supply lines and the same number of sewer lines were replaced in Karaganda. This allowed to reduce the number of accidents. This year, reconstruction work will continue under the investment program. The goal is to reduce the wear and tear of communications and ensure the reliability and quality of services.
On the instructions of the akim of Karaganda region, Yermaganbet Bolekpayev, monopolists will report on the implementation of the "Tariff for Investment" program. The new tariffs and investment program were announced at the "Karaganda Su" company.
The length of water supply lines is 1200 km, and their wear is 59%. There are about 400 km of pipes laid in the city 20 years ago. There are also networks built 40-50 years ago.
There is also a pressing problem in the sewage system. The wear and tear of networks is 82%. More than 500 km of 737 km of pipelines are 30-50 years old, and some were built even earlier.
The enterprise employs about 1,700 people.
From February 1, new tariffs for water supply and sewage services came into force. The changes were approved by orders of the Department of the Committee for Regulation of Natural Monopolies.
The General Director of Karaganda Su LLP, Yerbol Toleuov, named three factors that influenced the increase in tariffs. This is a continuation of the implementation of the "Tariff for Investments" program, which is accompanied by an increase in funds for 2025, an increase in employee salaries, and an increase in the cost of strategic goods: water and electricity.
- This year, it is planned to reconstruct 40 water pipelines under the approved investment program. There is an additional investment program - five more facilities. Accordingly, we will replace water pipelines with a total length of 30 km on 45 streets. It is also planned to replace 18.5 km of sewerage network. The total amount of investments is 6.1 billion tenge, - reported Erbol Toleuov.
According to him, the company has purchased more than 20 new equipment, which will allow to quickly eliminate the disaster.
