Akim of Karaganda region Yermaganbet Bolekpayev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Kazakhstan Otto Rona. The parties discussed the construction of a plant for the production of high-quality feed and premixes on the territory of the Saran industrial zone.
- Thanks to the launch of joint production, our agro-industrial complex will have great potential, - Otto Rona noted. - In addition, there are interesting projects in the pharmaceutical and energy sectors that we can develop.
The Hungarian company UBM Group plans to build a modern plant for the production of high-quality compound feed and premixes for livestock and poultry farming. Grain crops from local agricultural producers will be used as raw materials, which will be an important project, especially given the proximity of three major grain-growing regions.
The plant will create 35 jobs. The production process will be maximally automated. At the first stage, the capacity of the enterprise will be 100 thousand tons of products per year, with the possibility of increasing it to 200 thousand tons. Part of the products will remain in the region, the other will be exported.
- Central Asia is a strategic direction for us. Having studied the market, we chose Kazakhstan for investment. We plan to build three factories in this country and establish comprehensive cooperation with local farmers, - said Peter Zoltan, Director of Investments at UBM Group.
Yermaganbet Bolekpayev noted that the region is ready for long-term cooperation.
- We are interested in attracting international partners and creating new production facilities. A land plot has been allocated for the plant, and points for connecting to the necessary capacities have been provided. The project will be provided with state support, including investment incentives and benefits, - noted Ermaganbet Bolekpayev.
Today, there are no premix production plants in Kazakhstan, and poultry farms purchase them from abroad, mainly from Russia.
