Specialists from the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation underwent an internship at the French Bureau of Geological and Mining Research (BRGM). The internship was organized within the framework of the project “Development and promotion of French expertise in water resources management in Central Asia” of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
The internship will focus on studying the BDLISA database, which provides access to information on groundwater, as well as new approaches to water resources management.
The next internship on the topic “Methods and devices for detecting soil and groundwater pollution” will begin on April 1 of this year and will last for a month.
“The internship in France will allow our specialists to deepen their knowledge and expand their professional skills. "Cooperation with BRGM will contribute to the introduction of advanced technologies and approaches to groundwater management in Kazakhstan," said Didar Zhanibekuly, Head of the Department of Human Resources Development in Water Management of the Department of Science and Innovation of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Let us recall that in December last year, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of water resources with the French Bureau of Geological and Mining Research. The ministry also signed a trilateral agreement on cooperation with the French Development Agency (AFD) and BRGM.
