The Higher College of the Abai Regional Education Department trains specialists in the fields of geodesy, cartography and construction. This is the only specialized educational institution in the country that teaches aerial photography and geodesy.
With the help of aerial photography and geodetic methods, relief maps, digital relief models and orthophotoplans are created. Processing images obtained from drones, aircraft and satellites allows you to accurately determine the coordinate data of the earth's surface.
Every year, young people's interest in this specialty is growing. This year, the number of people enrolled in training has reached 650 people.
The college actively works with international partners. Memorandums of understanding on cooperation in the field of education have been signed with educational institutions of the Near and Far East. Innovative technologies and modern geodetic equipment are used in the process of training specialists. Students are offered international-level educational programs and practical classes on advanced equipment.
