The work of the workers who maintain the cleanliness of the city and save the capital from several tons of garbage every day is enormous. One of such people is 34-year-old Zarina Nurismalova. Our heroine, who has become an example to many lazy people in society with her honest work, works as a road worker at "Astana Tazalyk" LLP, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
A native of the Birlik village of the Akmola region has been working hard to maintain the cleanliness of the capital for 10 years.
"I have been working in this institution since 2015. When the city's residents are fast asleep, that is, we wake up at six in the morning, and rush to work. After all, work starts at eight. A special bus for workers is waiting for us at the bus stop near our place of residence. Sometimes, if we go to clean the garbage, the next day we help remove snow or other debris with special equipment. After we finish work at 5 pm, the same bus takes us home. Our lunch is free. For example, wherever we are doing work today, such as clearing snow or carving ice, the institution delivers hot tea and food to that place,” says Zarina.
According to Zarina, a bonus is added to the salary of workers who work on days with bad weather. They also provide regular medical care.
“The salary is stable. They replace special work clothes and necessary equipment in a timely manner. In case of illness, funds are provided for rehabilitation. Labor days are also timely, and financial rewards are given on every public holiday, and special gifts are given to our children. We also participate in various sports competitions between cleaning institutions as a team,” she says.
