It has been snowing in the capital since morning. The city's municipal services are working in an enhanced mode around the clock, the official website of the Astana akimat reports.
On the morning of February 13, 2,585 road workers and 1,245 units of special equipment were deployed to clear snow.
On the night of February 13, more than 25 thousand cubic meters of snow were removed from the capital to snow dumps in 1,946 flights.
Since the beginning of the winter season, more than 5.6 million cubic meters of snow have been removed from the city in 61,117 heavy truck flights.
First of all, in accordance with the rules, places with very high traffic are cleared to avoid traffic jams on the roads. Also, areas with medium traffic - squares, areas near train stations, sidewalks, entrances to social facilities, etc. are cleared.
Cleaning of central streets, places where passenger transport routes pass, stops and sidewalks is also a priority.
There are several equipped snow dumps in the city. They are equipped with a dump truck license plate reading system, video surveillance cameras are installed here, and lighting is turned on.
We ask residents and guests of the capital to be careful on the roads, follow safety rules, and not to travel long distances if there is a storm warning.
