The "City of Worker Professions" festival is being held at the EXPO exhibition ground, bringing together future specialists, employers and professional and technical organizations. This is the first large-scale event of the "Year of Worker Professions" announced at the initiative of Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The festival is being held by the Ministry of Education and Science and with the support of other sectoral departments, national companies and large enterprises. At 40 interactive exhibitions in the village, you can immerse yourself in the intricacies of more than 200 professions and get acquainted with the specifics of economic sectors. Various seminars, master classes, innovation sessions and job fairs will be organized within the framework of the festival for several days. Over 15 thousand people visited the event in the first two days.

Kasym-Jomart Tokayev got acquainted with the process of training specialists in energy, mining, metallurgy, oil and gas, construction, agriculture and other industries. The President was also presented with examples of the transformation of vocational and technical education organizations in accordance with the demand in the labor market and the specifics of each region.

The President noted that on the eve of the implementation of large projects such as nuclear power plants, specialists with high-quality education and professional skills are urgently needed.
