Last year, extensive work was carried out in Zhambyl region as part of the republican environmental campaign "Clean Kazakhstan".
In particular, 60 historical and cultural monuments, 143 parks and squares, 829 kilometers of canals and ditches, 137.5 thousand yards and 4.8 thousand kilometers of streets were cleaned. 30,875 tons of garbage were removed and about 60 thousand seedlings were planted.
Residents of the region actively participated in the 5-day weekend clean-up. They made a significant contribution to the formation of ecological culture, environmental cleaning, and landscaping.
The "Model Village" competition was organized as part of the campaign. 8 rural settlements were recognized as winners and received cash certificates. This money will be used to build social facilities, as well as carry out current repairs to buildings in the village.
In 2025, large-scale events are planned to be implemented in the region.
Sanitary cleaning and improvement works will be carried out regularly in historical and cultural monuments, parks and squares.
In addition, 1,000 kilometers of canal and ditch systems, 200 thousand yards and 10 thousand kilometers of streets will be cleaned of ash and garbage. In addition, about 200 thousand seedlings are expected to be planted.
