Today, the Consul General of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan in Almaty met with Zhenisbek Asankulov. During the meeting, the prospects for strengthening trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties, attracting investment, and implementing joint projects in various fields were discussed.

In addition, a decision was made to develop and approve a joint Roadmap for 2025–2028 within the framework of the memorandum signed between the cities of Shymkent and Osh on establishing the status of sister cities in 2023. This document provides for holding a business forum, as well as opening trading houses in Shymkent and Osh, where products of manufacturers from both cities will be presented.

In addition, the possibility of creating a Kyrgyz ethno-cultural association in Shymkent, as well as the issues of the legal status of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic and legal residence in the city were considered.

At the end of the meeting, Akim Gabit Syzdykbekov expressed his readiness to provide comprehensive support to initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.
