Employees of the Emergency Situations Departments across the republic are actively conducting educational events aimed at teaching children safety measures in emergency situations. These events cover a variety of areas, including earthquakes, fire safety, and ensuring the general safety of children.
In Almaty, EMERCOM specialists organized an online earthquake safety lesson with students of comprehensive schools. More than 16 thousand students from 67 schools in the city participated in the lesson. The training included practical earthquake preparation, seismic exercises, and classroom evacuation techniques.
In the East Kazakhstan region, EMERCOM employees held a series of lectures for students, including a “fire house” demonstration in Ust-Kamenogorsk, where children were shown the dangers of violating fire safety rules. Since the beginning of the heating season, about 140 lessons have been held, covering more than 800 thousand children. Interactive lessons were also organized, and children received safety memos.
In the West Kazakhstan region, as part of the formation of a safety culture for children, a drawing competition was held on the topic “Fire safety through the eyes of children”. Students from a rural school in the Syrym district got acquainted with the work of firefighters and the importance of observing safety rules through creativity. The winners of the competition received prizes and letters of appreciation.
In the Mangistau region, a unique puppet show “You and I, or a True Story about Friendship with Fire” was organized for primary school students. More than 5 thousand children and preschoolers took part in this theatrical performance, in which bright characters clearly showed how to behave correctly in a fire and how important it is to observe evacuation rules.
Employees of the Pavlodar region's Emergency Situations Department, together with the Schoolchildren's Palace and the Red Crescent, organized a quest game for students on safety measures “Safety first: we act correctly in an emergency!” The unique format of the game allowed children to master important aspects of safety, act competently in stressful situations, and provide assistance to others. The quest consisted of several interactive stations (fire safety, first aid, water safety). Six teams from grades 7-8 of schools in Pavlodar participated in the event. They went through various interactive stations, answered questions, and completed tasks on how to act correctly in any given situation. Also, during the practical stages, the participants completed tasks that demonstrated the team's agility, speed, and coordinated actions. The winners were determined, and all participants and prize-winners were awarded diplomas and commemorative gifts.
In the Turkestan region, employees of the Emergency Situations Department held events for preschool children. Open fire safety classes were held in kindergartens of Ordabasy and Kazygurt districts, where children were explained how to act in the event of a fire through games and videos. Kindergarten employees conducted explanatory work among teachers on observing safety rules in institutions.
These events are part of ongoing work to increase the culture of safety among children and prepare them for emergency situations, which helps create a safe environment for the younger generation.
