Almaty Akim Yerbolat Dossayev reported on the results and plans for the development of engineering infrastructure in the Zhetysu district during a meeting with the population.
Active work continues on the reconstruction and construction of new networks in Almaty to ensure high-quality engineering infrastructure. In 2024, 47 km of water supply (28 km) and sewage (19 km) networks were built in the Zhetysu district, which will provide access to centralized networks for 3.8 thousand subscribers on 36 streets. By the end of this year, it is planned to complete the construction of another 131 km of water supply and drainage networks, including 60 km of water and 71 km of drainage, on 55 streets.
The mayor noted that special attention is paid to improving the infrastructure on streets where old engineering networks, built by residents themselves in an economic way, have been used for more than 30 years. For example, in June 2025, the implementation of a project to build a new 25 km of water supply and drainage networks covering more than 4 thousand subscribers will begin on the area of ​​\u200b\u200bRyskulov - Tatibekov - Raiymbek - Suyunbay streets. Completion of the work is planned for August 2026.
Work is also underway to upgrade heat supply networks. In 2024, the renovation of 11.3 km of heat networks was completed on Ainabulak 2-3, Kokmaysa st. and Brodsky, Makarenko, Ryskulov streets. The plan for 2025 includes the reconstruction of 1 km of heating networks in Ainabulak-1, the work will begin after the heating season ends in May and will be completed by September 2025.
In general, in Almaty, on the instructions of the city akim Yerbolat Dossaev, it is planned to build 260 km of new construction and modernize 87 km of existing water supply and drainage networks in 2025.
