Specialists of KazKSRI JSC conducted experimental tests of suspended reinforced concrete panels for residential and public buildings.
The main objective of this experimental research work was to obtain data characterizing the effectiveness of design solutions for external reinforced concrete wall panels for buildings with strict design schemes erected in areas with seismic hazard up to 9 points.
During the study, the tasks were set to study the behavior of reinforced concrete structures under the influence of seismic loads, to check the reliability of connections between reinforced concrete panels and the main structural elements of the building. There were also tasks to identify optimal structural solutions that ensure seismic stability and reduce the cost of anti-seismic reinforcement. It was necessary to develop proposals for improving the structural solutions of reinforced concrete panels and identify effective areas for the use of suspended reinforced concrete panels in the seismic construction of Kazakhstan.
Experimental studies of facade systems were carried out on a special test site consisting of a two-layer steel frame. To simulate seismic loads, a B-2 vibrator was installed on the roof of the stand and caused vibrations. This allowed for dynamic loading of suspended reinforced concrete panels and study of their behavior in the building system.
