Then you need to fill out an application, inspect the moped, as well as pay state duties for its registration (0.25 MCI) and a registration certificate (1.25 MCI) and a state license plate (1.4 MCI), - said the head of the department - the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Chingiz Alekeshev.
How to register a moped if there are no documents?
- If there are no documents or VIN-code, or if for some reason it is impossible to determine the year of manufacture of the moped, the internal affairs bodies will issue it after conducting an inspection. In this case, the year of its inspection is considered the year of manufacture of the moped, - said the speaker.
What categories of license are required to drive a moped?
- According to the Law "On Road Traffic", a license with category A1 is required to drive a moped. If the driver has a license of category A or B, he can also drive a moped, - said the police colonel.
In what order are state registration license plates for mopeds issued?
- The issuance of state license plates for mopeds is carried out in accordance with the current procedure, that is, the system automatically selects the number. For example, the same approach is used for motorcycles, - answered the official representative of the department.
What responsibility is provided for those who did not register their mopeds after April 5?
- According to the law, it is prohibited to drive mopeds that were not registered after April 5. In case of violation, administrative liability is provided for by paragraph 2 of Article 590 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (a fine of 10 MCI), - the speaker said.
