From November 18 to 22, the Abai Children's Library opens its doors to those who want to get acquainted with the culture of India. A series of meetings is planned as part of the new program dedicated to the diversity of world traditions. Admission is free.
"The modern world is unthinkable without cultural diversity. It would be boring if we limited ourselves to the traditions of only one country. Our project "Crossroads of Cultures" has already introduced Italy, Japan and China. Now we offer Karaganda residents the opportunity to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of India," the library notes.
Program:
- November 18 at 12:00 – opening of the Days of Indian Culture, where Indian national songs and dances will be presented, an educational quiz;
- November 19 at 14:00 – yoga master class "The World of Yoga";
- November 20 at 15:00 – master class on henna painting "The Art of Mehendi";
- November 21 at 15:00 – culinary master class "Indian treats";
- November 22 at 10:30 a.m. – watching the Golden Antelope cartoon (based on Indian fairy tales).
Throughout the week, the library will host a book exhibition and an exposition of paintings provided by the Karaganda Regional Museum of Fine Arts.
Library address: 30 Bukhar-zhyrau Ave.
