Since the beginning of the year, pensions in the amount of 3 trillion 118.2 billion tenge have been paid from the republican budget, of which 982.2 billion tenge has been allocated for the payment of a basic pension, and 2 trillion 136 billion tenge for a solidarity pension.
As of November 1, 2024, the number of pensioners is 2 million 421 thousand people.
The average amount of the total pension as of November 1, 2024 amounted to 131,730 tenge, including the amount of the solidarity pension – 89,122 tenge, the basic pension – 42,608 tenge.
Starting from July 1, 2018, the state basic pension payment is assigned to each recipient individually, taking into account his experience of participation in the pension system.
At the same time, the length of service in the pension system includes the length of service worked out in the solidarity system as of January 1, 1998, as well as the periods for which mandatory pension contributions were paid (hereinafter - OPV).
So, if the length of service in the pension system is 10 years or less, and also in its absence, the amount of the basic pension is 65% of the subsistence minimum, then for each year over 10 years its size increases by 2%. For example, if you have 20 years of experience, the basic pension will amount to 85% of the subsistence minimum. With an experience of 30 years or more, it is set at a maximum amount of 105% of the subsistence minimum.
If in one month OPV has been transferred to the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund several times, the period of participation in the accumulative system is one month.
Thus, the more regularly and in full mandatory pension contributions are paid, the greater the amount of the basic pension payment upon reaching retirement age.
In turn, the amount of pension payments by age depends on the length of service as of January 1, 1998 (at least 6 months are required) and the average monthly income received in the pre-retirement period.
