The owners of the Almaty hippodrome must present its development program by the end of March. The mayor announced this during a meeting with residents of the Zhetysu district.
According to the city akim, negotiations have been underway with the owners of the hippodrome since last year. They must present a development program by the end of March, which, first of all, will require significant funds. However, Yerbolat Dossayev noted that the intended purpose of the hippodrome will remain unchanged.
“If the owners do not carry out renovation work, we will look for a new investor or the city may take on this responsibility, but this is a very expensive project. We will try to determine the future of the Almaty hippodrome by the summer,” said Yerbolat Dossayev.
