Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Zhamauov visited the Tengiz field and assessed the progress of the future Expansion Project

On November 13, 2024, Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Zhamauov made a working trip to the Tengiz field.
During the visit, the Ministry's delegation visited key production facilities, including Integrated Production Lines (KTL), a second-generation Plant (ZVP), a third-generation plant (ZTP) and a joint production management center (JMC). Special attention was paid to facilities related to the implementation of the Future Expansion Project (PBR), designed to significantly increase oil production at the field.
Vice Minister A.Zhamauov held a meeting with the management of the operator of the Tengiz field, during which they discussed the current oil and gas production figures, as well as the prospects for the development of the project.
During the trip, the delegation also inspected facilities related to the PBR, where plans and technical aspects of their launch were discussed.
The Vice Minister stressed the strategic importance of timely commissioning of the PBR facilities, which will increase oil production by 12 million tons per year and significantly strengthen Kazakhstan's energy security.
