Within the framework of the pilot national project "Comfortable School", 29 schools are planned to be built in the Turkestan region. 139 billion tenge has been allocated from the National Fund for their construction, and construction has already begun. According to the plan proposed by Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC, 16 schools should be commissioned in 2024, and 13 in 2025. Indicators in this area and current problems were discussed at a meeting in the akimat of the region. Akim of Turkestan region Darkhan Satybaldy recalled that construction customers, contractors, local akimats and responsible departments should implement the project in a timely manner and work together.

According to the acting head of the construction department of the Turkestan region, Abai Turkhanov, 4.8 billion tenge has been allocated from the regional budget to bring engineering infrastructure to schools (gas, water, electricity, communications). The construction of access roads has been completed for 7 schools; asphalt will be laid for the remaining 22 schools after the completion of heavy machinery. At the moment, one school has been commissioned in the region as part of the "Comfortable School" project. Three schools, which are scheduled to be commissioned in November, already have the main structures erected, roofs installed, 90% of the finishing and landscaping work has been completed, and the installation of equipment has begun.
Gabit Malgazdarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board — Member of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC, Saken Ashirbayev, Regional Head of the Department for the Implementation of the National Project in Turkestan region, and Asylan Otepbergenov, Deputy Regional Head of the department, reported on the progress of the project. At the meeting, the contractors delaying the construction of schools were commented on and assigned appropriate responsibilities. Representatives of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC were given proposals on resolving issues related to financing construction and acceptance of facilities. Akims of districts and cities are also entrusted with the performance of relevant duties.
