In the Karaganda region, applications for the competition for awarding grants to the head of the region "Tauelsizdik urpaktary" to support youth scientific, IT, media and business projects will begin on November 15. Residents of the region aged from 18 to 34 years old (inclusive) can participate.
The amount of one grant is 2 million tenge.
– This year we have added new directions for the first time. Now support will be provided to young people in such areas as information technology, media, culture and science. However, the "business" direction remains, and the support of entrepreneurs will continue to operate. Applicants must clearly understand what is important for the development of the region. If we are talking about business, then these should be social projects – ideas that are in demand and relevant for our region. In total, about 25 grants will be allocated. The selection will be strict," said Ulan Omarov, Chief specialist of the Youth Policy Department.
Grants are awarded in the following areas:
- science – for the implementation of new scientific projects;
- culture – for the implementation of projects aimed at popularizing the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan, promoting folk cultural traditions and art;
- information technology – for the implementation and development of new IT solutions and projects, including start-up projects;
- business – for the implementation of new business ideas;
- media – for the implementation of new media projects, including projects to create informative, useful, interesting content for young people.
