In just two and a half months of the academic year, 106 new schools with 150,000 student places opened their doors in the regions, the press service of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
Of these, about 90 thousand students study in 33 comfortable schools. They include separate blocks for primary and senior levels, modern technical safety equipment, a barrier-free environment for children with special educational needs, several gyms, modern subject rooms, etc. Recall that within the framework of the National project "Comfortable School", initiated by the Head of State, it is planned to put into operation 217 schools of a modern format by the end of 2025.
Also, 18 more schools have been opened through the Education Infrastructure Support Fund, which receives funds seized from corrupt officials. The remaining 55 schools are funded by the republican and local budgets, as well as attracting investments. Work in this direction continues.
