YOUNG CHINESE RESEARCHERS GAIN EXPERIENCE AT SATBAEV UNIVERSITY
Five doctoral students from the People's Republic of China are studying at the O.A.Baikonurov Mining and Metallurgical Institute Satbayev University under the educational program "Innovative Technologies and New Inorganic Materials": Qu Chuangzhuang, Gao Lili, Liu Jingjing, Guo Xiaohong and Li Jia.
At the Department of Chemical Processes and Industrial Ecology, young scientists are working on research aimed at using innovative materials for wastewater treatment, developing nano- and composite materials, as well as introducing advanced technologies in ecology and industry. The young scientists expressed gratitude to the university for creating conditions for study and research, as well as for the opportunity to work under the guidance of leading scientists from Kazakhstan, China, Malaysia, Poland and the United Kingdom.
– A month has passed since I arrived in Kazakhstan, and during this time we met new friends and had an interesting time. In the future, I plan to synthesize carbon-based materials and apply them to all types of energy storage systems. I am very grateful to the members of the group for their help, especially PhD doctors Kydyr and my colleague Elriza. May the friendship between China and Kazakhstan become stronger," said Liu Jingjing, a first-year doctoral student from Shandong Province.
Under the guidance of scientific supervisors from Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom, Liu Jingjing is working on a dissertation on the topic "Development of highly efficient electrode materials for electrochemical energy storage devices."
Another doctoral student from China, Qu Chuangzhuang, is also studying in the first year in the specialty "Innovative technologies and new inorganic materials". Under the guidance of Professor Azat Seithan of Satbayev University and Professor Nur Nabih Yusuf from Malaysia, he is working on the topic "Obtaining nanomagnetic zeolite and studying its adsorption properties of nanoplastics."
