The Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory is solemnly celebrating its 80th anniversary - a landmark event for the entire musical art of the country. Many artists have already celebrated the anniversary of the university. Among them are violinist Marat Bisengaliev, accordion player YvesMoulin, opera singer Talgat Musabayev, who performed big concerts and held master classes for future stars.
For eight decades, the conservatory has become a cultural center that has educated generations of artists who have glorified Kazakhstan on the world stage. Among its graduates are People's Artists of Kazakhstan, honored figures and outstanding musicians: Bibigul Tulegenova, Alibek Dnishev, Yuri Klushkin, Alan Buribayev, Baigaliserkebayev, Medet Chotabayev and many other stars of the Kazakh stage.
From November 23 to December 2, the conservatory invites everyone to the Anniversary Marathon — more than 30 unique concerts, master classes and meetings. Every day will be filled with events that will reflect both the rich history and modern achievements of Kazakh music. The program includes concerts, an international conference, an exhibition and much more.
Kazakhstan's leading musicians will hold a series of master classes and creative meetings where they will share their invaluable experience. Among them are People's Artist of Kazakhstan Ayman Musakhodzhayeva, Russian violinist Nazar Kozhukhar, the brightest conductors Alan Buribayev and Abzal Mukhitdinov, Honored Worker Nurlan Izmailov and many others.
The culmination of the jubilee marathon will be a Gala concert on December 3 at the Palace of the Republic. One of the most prestigious stages in Kazakhstan will bring together the best ensembles of the conservatory — orchestras, ensembles, choir and soloists, as well as invited artists. This evening will be a bright finale of the anniversary, emphasizing the connection of generations, the richness of musical traditions and the modern sound of Kazakh art.
The full program of the Jubilee Marathon is available on the Conservatory's website.
