The necessary conditions for the development of social entrepreneurship are being created in the Karaganda region. Businessmen working in this area can receive preferential loans up to 1.5 billion tenge, 500 million tenge for replenishment of working capital and gratuitous grants. This year, 10 social entrepreneurs received state grants worth 50 million tenge.
Social businessmen work in various fields, such as psychological, pedagogical and social services, education, healthcare, as well as manufacturing and trade.
– 136 people are employed in social entrepreneurship. The average annual volume of products and services rendered is about one billion tenge," Acting head of the Department of Entrepreneurship Abzal Rakhymbayev said at a staff meeting in the akimat of the region.
In addition to preferential loans and grants, the Entrepreneurship Department advises social businessmen, provides methodological recommendations and helps in finding business partners.
Everyone should provide comprehensive support to social entrepreneurs, said Akim of the Karaganda region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev.
– Government agencies need to ensure the full and effective implementation of current legislation and legal acts adopted for the development of social entrepreneurship. The Business Administration should, if necessary, send proposals to the central government agency to improve certain standards. Mayors of cities and districts are required to prepare and post information on official web resources, as well as step-by–step instructions on registering social projects, obtaining financial support, finding partners and running a social business for aspiring entrepreneurs, the head of the region said.
