Within the framework of COP29, a panel session "Green Energy and innovation: investment opportunities of Kazakhstan" was held in Baku

Within the framework of the SOR29 Energy Day in Baku, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a panel session "Green Energy and Innovation: investment opportunities of Kazakhstan".
Chaired by the Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan S. The participants of the event discussed the goals and prospects of Kazakhstan for the development of green energy, increasing the share of renewable energy sources in the country's energy balance, nuclear and hydrogen energy, as well as measures taken by the state aimed at reducing anthropogenic methane emissions. The measures taken by the government to create conditions for attracting "green financing" were discussed. The panel session was attended by representatives of companies such as Masdar, EBRD and the Asian Development Bank.
In addition, the Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced Kazakhstan's accession to the Hydrogen Initiative (Hydrogen Breakthrough Agenda), which will contribute to the development of hydrogen energy in the country, taking into account the Concept of Hydrogen Energy Development adopted this year and plans for the implementation of a joint hydrogen project in western Kazakhstan with the German company Svevind.
S. Yessimkhanov noted the importance of international cooperation to achieve the goals in the field of green energy and stressed Kazakhstan's commitment to sustainable development.
Also, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chaired by the Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan B. Ilyasa took part in sessions organized by Azerbaijan, the International Renewable Energy Agency (Irena), the Asian Development Bank and the U.S. Department of Commerce, during which issues of innovation and investment in the green energy sector were discussed. The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan supported the organization of energy refining and methane targets.
