The Karaganda region is actively working to reduce youth unemployment. Since the beginning of the year, more than 13 thousand young people have been covered by employment measures. NEET pays special attention to young people. They try to help this category according to the principle of "individual approach to everyone".
The head of the region, Ermaganbet Bulekpayev, held a meeting at which the results were reported by the heads of departments, akims of cities and districts.
– For targeted work with NEET youth in the region, there is a project "Marathon of Opportunities". In 10 months, about 39 thousand people were covered, 297 different events were held: job fairs, round tables, open days, excursions to workplaces, etc., – said Zhanara Dyussetaeva, Deputy head of the Department for Youth Policy.
Young people can get free consultations from lawyers and psychologists. They also talk about measures of state support in obtaining education, employment, and starting their own business. Mobile groups travel to places where there is a high traffic of people: bazaars, shopping and entertainment centers, parks.
To help implement creative ideas and promote the creative industry, a youth community center was opened in the regional center.
The Regional Employment Map shows its effectiveness, it was noted at the meeting.
The head of the coordination of employment and social programs, Asem Dzhunuspekova, told with specific examples how the projects "Youth Practice", "First workplace", "Contract of generations" help in the employment of young people.
In addition, the JUMYS TAP project is being implemented in the region, according to which anyone can learn a new profession for free in short-term courses.
The basics of entrepreneurship are taught under the Bastau Business project. This year, 67 young people from socially vulnerable categories received grants to start their own business.
According to Mayor of Shakhtinsk Murat Kydyrganbekov, the number of NEET youth in the monotown has been halved.
"This was facilitated by yard rounds, phone calls in order to update the database, clarification of ongoing government programs, social and information support, organization of training and leisure activities," he noted.
Ermaganbet Bulekpayev gave instructions to continue targeted support for NEET youth. He considers it necessary to involve science in this. Research by scientists will show possible omissions and in which areas more support is needed.
– We are actively working on this issue. There are certain results. You can't stop! The active work of local akims is needed: There will be no progress without your support," the head of the region stressed. – It is necessary to explain more, to show successful examples to young people so that they can see it and ask for help. There are resources, there are opportunities, we need to work!
